Winning the 1992 Yehudi Menuhin Foundation Award in Paris established French violinist Bernard Zinck’s international career. In the United States, he has performed in venues such as Carnegie Recital Hall in New York, National Gallery in Washington, St James Cathedral in Chicago. In Europe, Asia and South America, he has given recitals at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris and the festivals of Montmartre/Radio France/Grange de Meslay/Flâneries de Reims (France), Academy Franz Liszt (Budapest), Mozarteum (Salzburg), San Clemente Basilica (Rome), Szymanowski Festivals in Poland and Sicily, Brighton Arts Festival (England), Oji Hall (Tokyo), Samyook University (Seoul), CecĂlia Meireles Hall (Rio de Janeiro) and in the municipal theaters of Curitiba, Porto Alegre, Recife, SĂŁo Luis, Uberlândia (Brazil). In 2023, Bernard Zinck joined the roster of the New York Classical Music Society artists. He currently serves as Violin and Chamber Music faculty at the University of WisconsinMilwaukee and at the AcadĂ©mie des Arts in Flaine (France). He is the artistic director of the chamber music festival “Musiques et Vignes Ă Fontevraud” (France). Zinck has written articles for Strings Magazine and The Strad and has recorded for Ligia Digital, Musical Heritage Society and Vienna Modern Masters record labels.
After winning violin and chamber music first prizes at the CNSMDP, Bernard Zinck continued his musical studies at the Juilliard School (Bachelor and Master of Music) in New York, then at Temple University in Philadelphia where he earned a doctorate in
musical performance (DMA).
